In recent years, China has vigorously developed agriculture and built large reservoirs and reservoirs in various places to facilitate the irrigation of basic farmland. 

During the construction of the reservoir, an anti-seepage treatment will be carried out on the reservoir. Generally, nowadays, most anti-seepage work is carried 

out using composite geosynthetic membranes, also known as composite geosynthetic membranes. Composite geosynthetic membranes are a new type of 

geosynthetic material, with various structural forms such as one fabric and one membrane, two fabrics and one membrane, and multiple fabrics and multiple membranes.

Composite geomembrane is composed of protective layers on both sides and a middle anti-seepage layer. The protective layers on both sides are made of non-woven

geotextile, and the middle anti-seepage layer is made of HDPE geomembrane. The geotextiles on both sides are designed to protect the middle geotextile membrane

from damage and reduce UV exposure to a certain extent, increasing the aging resistance of the anti-seepage layer.

Composite geomembranes not only possess the characteristics of anti-seepage, corrosion resistance, and acid alkali resistance of geomembranes, but also have the

functions of geotextile protection, drainage, and reinforcement. Therefore, composite geomembranes are widely used in the construction of reservoirs. Compared with

ordinary geomembranes, the potential of composite geomembranes lies in their high tensile strength, good ductility, and large deformation capacity. Even if there are

some foreign objects in the construction process of the bottom soil of the reservoir, composite geomembranes with thicker geotextiles on both sides as protective layers

can adapt to this environment. Secondly, composite geomembranes have lower cost, faster production speed, and simple and convenient construction.

Composite geomembranes are often used in landfill sites to prevent sewage from coming into contact with groundwater due to their high anti-seepage coefficient, long

service life, low cost, simple construction, and good isolation effect.
